Senior Highlight: Jenna Houk

Next in our Senior Highlight series, we are featuring 18EP player Jenna Houk. Jenna is a senior at Deer Creek High School. Next year, she is committed to play volleyball at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Go Dawgs!

Jenna’s Senior Season Awards include:6A State All-Tournament Team, Bishop McGuinness All-Tournament Team, 2nd Team All-COAC, 6A Regional Champions, and Student Athlete of the Month.

Jenna’s other awards include: 6A Academic State Champion and 6A Regional Champion (Freshman). 6A Academic State Champion, Heather Harkness All-Tournament Team, 6A Regional Champion, 2nd Team All-COAC (Sophomore). 6A Academic State Champion, Heather Harkness All-Tournament Team, Norman All-Tournament Team, McGuinness All-Tournament Team, 6A Regional Champion, 1st Team All-COAC, 2022 Volleyball Player of the Year OKC Metro High School Sports Award (Junior).

Outside of athletics, Jenna has achieved numerous academic awards. She is a member National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, earned the Deer Creek Foundation Award. To top off her academic achievements, Jenna was named Valedictorian and has maintained a 4.239 GPA through her high school tenure.

Jenna’s parents say “Jenna has thoroughly enjoyed her Peak experience and is excited to continue her volleyball career in college. We are super proud of her effort on and off the court and we are grateful for all the coaches, friends and parents who have encouraged her along the way. We look forward to seeing how God works through her in the future!” While at SWOSU, she intends to pursue a degree in health science and a minor in business.
