Senior Highlight: Emily Boyer

Today in our Senior Highlight series, we are featuring 18EP player Emily Boyer. Emily is a senior at Carl Albert High School and is a member of the volleyball and tennis teams. Next year, Emily is committed to play volleyball at Oklahoma Baptist University. Go Bison!

Emily’s Senior Season Awards include: All-State Volleyball Large West, 5A State All-Tournament Team, Suburban Conference MVP, Carl Albert Varsity MVP , Heather Harkness All-Tournament Bishop McGuinness All-Tournament Team, Coweta All-Tournament Team, Carl Albert All-Tournament Team, Fox 25 Scholar Athlete of the Week, KFOR Homeland Scholar Athlete of the Week, Midwest City Beacon Carl Albert Player of the Week, and Varsity Team Captain.

Emily’s other awards include: Class 5A Academic State Champions, Carl Albert “For the Love of the Game” Award (Freshman), Coweta Invitational MVP, Suburban Conference First Team, Oklahoman’s All-City Honorable Mention, Carl Albert Varsity MV (Sophomore), Suburban Conference MVP, Class 5A State Runner-Up, Coweta Invitational MVP, Bishop McGuinness All-Tournament Team, Prep Dig All-State First Team, Oklahoman’s All-City (Junior).

Outside of athletics, Emily participates in multiple extracurriculars and has achieved numerous academic awards. She is actively involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Oklahoma Cleats for Kids Teen Board, National Honor Society, Oklahoma High School Honor Society, Key Club, and was a Junior Rotarian: Midwest City Rotary Club. On top of all of her activities, Emily has earned a 4.0 Academic Letter Jacket and was named Valedictorian of her class.

Emily’s parents say “Emily is full of joy on and off the court. We are so proud of how she loves and encourages others. Our hope for her is to live her life for Christ first in all things. ” While at OBU, Emily plans to study nursing and become a pediatric nurse in the future.
