Faith Avalos

Bio

Faith Avalos comes from Coppell, Texas. She played at Ouachita Baptist from 2010-13 where she earned a Bachelors in Secondary Education and History. After graduating, she continued on at Ouachita as their Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. She helped lead OBU to their first conference title in school history. During this time Faith completed her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Henderson State.

Faith came to UCO in 2019 from Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, where she served as head volleyball coach. Avalos led MACU to a school record for most conference wins in a season and also coached an all-conference selection. Avalos helped UCO to an 18-win season in her first year with the team. She helped coach three All-MIAA selections, an All-Region pick, and a consensus All-American.

Faith currently works as the Head Coach of Norman North High School, where she also teacher Special Education Math.

In her spare time Faith enjoys hiking, cycling, and playing sand volleyball!
